  1. Where is GDGPS?
    GD Goenka Public School is located in Sangrama near Jamkash Vehicleads Road, Baramulla - 193201.


  2. How is GDGPS different from other schools of Baramulla?
    The school focuses on developing leaders of tomorrow. We believe in creating human beings, socially, emotionally & intellectually moulded to stand tall in the society. They will carry strong principles of courage, strength, compassion, caring and above all, learn to be "Happy".


  3. What are the school timings?
    Nursery & KG - 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM
    Grade I upwards - 10:00 AM to 03:30 PM
    However, the reporting time for all the children will be 09:45 am.


  4. What are the extra-curricular activities in the school?
    We believe that children should be encouraged to participate in Sports from their early days. GDGPS thus offers opportunity to participate in a range of indoor & outdoor sports activities as detailed below: Athletics - Track and field events, Basket ball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Swimming, Skating, Splash Pool, Sand Pit & Outdoor Play area


  5. What curriculum does the school follow?
    For Nursery till KG : The school follows integrated, thematic and activity-based approach.For Class I upward: The school follows textbooks and curriculum as per the CBSE directives & guidelines.


  6. What are the Medical facilities provided in the school?
    Equipped with an infirmary, the school's infirmary is managed by qualified medical and nursing staff to attend to any first aid needs throughout the school day while the school doctor is available two days in a week and for any emergency. Routine medical check-ups and awareness camps are also organised on regular basis.


  7. What aspect of child safety have been taken care of?
    To ensure security and safe learning environment, the school provides effective surveillance and security systems that act as deterrent factors resulting in better group control and higher quality learning environment. High boundary walls, fire fighting system, well-trained male and female, security guards patrolling the area also make the campus safe & secure. Above all, CCTV cameras are installed on each floor, classrooms, corridors and on all sides of the building.


  8. What is the Student:Teacher ratio in the school?
    Nursery & KG : 24:1 Students
    Grade I to IV : 25:1 Students
    Grade V upwards: 30:1 Students


  9. What is the transport plan of the school?
    The school offers comfortable buses that ply on all major routes in Baramulla . Each bus is fitted with GPS and CCTV cameras. The security on every bus is well managed. Each bus has a female attended to take care of the children.


  10. What classes is the school upto?
    The school runs classes (Nursery to 12th). However, admissions are open for Class Nursery to 6th.


  11. What is the parent's role in the development of their child at school?
    Our endeavor is to ensure that the parents' role and interface in their child's development is well-structured. We invite them to be active members in the school management committee and play a vibrant role in forming a more dynamic and engaging curriculum for all children. Monthly parent-teacher session and mothers' training is also part of our teaching mechanism and dichotomy.
